Frequently asked questions

When is Sunday Schism coming out?

The app is currently in development for iOS, with an Android port to follow. We don't have a firm release date yet — check back here, or look for it in the App Store when it ships.

Can I switch sides after I've chosen one?

No. Picking a side (Catholic or Baptist) is a one-time decision per profile — the commitment is part of the experience. You can start a fresh profile on another device, or reset your local data in Settings, if you want to try the other side.

Are there in-app purchases?

No. Sunday Schism is free, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, paid expansions, or advertising. The full game is available to everyone.

Will you add Methodist, Pentecostal, or other denominations?

Possibly. The initial release focuses on Catholic vs Baptist. Other traditions have been considered for future updates. If you'd like to see yours represented, email us — we keep a list.

Is this making fun of my faith?

No. Sunday Schism roasts both Catholic and Baptist culture equally and affectionately. Jesus and Scripture are explicitly off-limits — the jokes are about traditions, potlucks, parking lots, and the friendly rivalries between communities that grew up next to each other. If a specific card crosses a line for you, email us with the card name and we'll review it.

My save data is gone — how do I get my cards back?

If you've recently reinstalled the app or switched devices, your collection should resync automatically once you're online. If it doesn't, email us with your anonymous device ID (visible in Settings → About) and we'll restore your progress.

The app crashed. What should I do?

First, make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store. If the crash continues, email us with the device model, iOS version, and a short description of what you were doing when it crashed. A screenshot or screen recording helps a lot.

Can I play offline?

Most of the game works offline. You'll need an internet connection for initial setup, the daily challenge, and submitting scores to leaderboards. Single-player runs against the AI work fine without a connection.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Sunday Schism collects almost nothing about you — no name, no email, no location, no contacts. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Reporting a bug

Found something broken? Email us with as much detail as you can: device model, iOS version, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. A screenshot or short screen recording is gold.

Feature requests & feedback

Suggestions for new cards, mechanics, tile bonuses, or denominations are welcome. We can't promise we'll build everything, but we read everything.
